I work in the industry. Here's the scoop: Naomi is gay and wildly possessive and jealous. Nicole is bisexual and despite the cold exterior, is a sex freak who will try anything once. The two were involved at one point but are not any longer.

R35 I think it's the camera that makes them seem so close in that photo. Telephoto lenses compress space. If you see how naturally Nicole is standing, and leaning, she couldn't possibly be pressed against Naomi. There's space in front of Nicole, we just can't see it.

That may be true, r37, but I still see Naomi's left hand reaching back toward Nicole. The angle of the hand itself, not to mention the arm reaching. It also looks like Nicole's right hand is on Naomi's shoulder (again). You can see Nicole's knuckles there if you enlarge the picture. It looks to me like Nicole is definitely touching Naomi and Naomi is trying to touch Nicole. Heath is the definition of a third wheel in that picture. I stand by my original conclusion.

The picture from R26 is the most telling. There is something very intimate in the way their hands are positioned. Like they were letting go, but didn't want to. And they are quite a cute couple.

When you look at that picture and the way they are with each other-the body language and looks only say one thing- we are a couple. I have seen this in other pictures of them prior to the above and from a few years ago. I hope they are a couple-you should never let someone like that go that you look at that way. I posted this yesterday and after looking at the rest of those pictures(someone has a lot of time on their hands but I am glad for it), I am even more convinced. Though I do get the feeling that Nicole would be the more possessive type but you never do know about a person.

They look at each other exactly the way two women do who've been intimate in the past. It doesn't necessarily mean they are currently, but that spark is sexual chemisty that's been acted on, and that they still refer to. And as to how we know? I've said it before to the dumb, clueless straight women who scream they're just good friends who hold hands and wind their arms around each other (and allll beautiful women do that when they party together blah blah blah): because some of us have had platonic female friends and female lovers, and we can see the difference easily. I'm one of them. You can see it in person, and you can see it in some photos. Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts make it easy. Not all women do, but they sure do. Also, it's not like the rumors are new and surprising. They've been plentiful out of Australia and here for years. Remember that team on "Amazing Race" -- Bianca and Debbie -- whom we all knew were lovers even though they claimed only to be "best friends from the time we were kids"? They hugged, cuddled, and said "I love you" all the time. Lived together, etc. Very similar dynamic to the NK/NW relationship, but because they weren't celebs, nobody screamed when people said, duh, they're lovers.

R52, both people don't have to be gay or bi in a "relationship" that is orchestrated by publicists. The other person is getting something out of it, although what it is may not be obvious. It may be money, it may be more exposure than they'd get on their own. It may be their own little piece on the side, paid in full. You need to learn how Hollywood really works. It's ALL about image.
