Yeah Naomi sure did work for her career. Right into Nicole's pants. As soon as that divorce was final - Nicole pushed the hell out of Naomi's career. She does have the talent to get it done - but so do a whole lot of people without powerful people to help them. Plus, she is too bearding for her career - she is hardly honest screaming about her relationship with merkin Heath Ledger. He is as much of a whore as Kidman is.

r72, i don't think Nicole never offered her a place to stay, i think Naomi really wanted to this own her own. that's the impression i got. she has stated in interviews that she used to crash at Nic's sofa from time to time. (i'm guessing by this she means guest room/house)

The gallery, loves it! I don't know if they are girlfriends, but I do know that is the most believable romantic partner I have ever seen Nicole Kidman with. She and Bing are just friends ... she recently showed him around Australia when he was down there for business. And other rumored boyfriends of hers ... Lenny Kravitz or Q-Tip ... please! And as for the biggest red flag: Tom Cruise was never believable with her as a loving husband. Believe me, I know!

Remember when Charlie's Angels premiered and those three bitches were playing with each other's hair and shit on the red carpet? No one objected because these are women acting gay. take your meds, r78. i can think of other female friends (Meryl Streep and Carrie Fisher, for example) who are affectionate, but not THAT affectionate. constantly holding hands or near each other physically? do your female friends do that? i doubt it.

They are just touchy-feely, a lot of straight women friends are like that. In college my 2 roomates were like that, they would sleep in the same bed and "cuddle"... (lol... reading what I just typed really makes them sound like lesbians but I swear they aren't)

I agree that actresses are often affectionate with each other but this goes above and beyond any other famous actress friendships I've ever seen. That gallery R73 put together, you couldn't do that with any other famous friends of any gender. They're more couple-y in their photos than either of them have been with anyone else in their entire careers and that includes a 10-year marriage on Nicole's part. Obviously not everyone will agree but I grew up with straight women and a lot of my friends are straight women and there is normal physical closeness between best friends and then there's "I had her clit in my mouth last night" closeness.

I think that the only thing those pictures prove is that these two have a genuine, loving relationship. Whether lovers or not, they LOVE each other, and that says a lot in Hollywood. As a bi-woman, I've had straight girlfriends with whom I've been just as affectionate as these two in the pictures. Personally, I'd bet they've been together sexually, but I think that the core of their relationship is a deep love and friendship. And that's beautiful.

R78, because you're the expert on reading photographs now? Give me a break. Why is your opinion of the pictures any more valid than any of ours? Sounds like you know less about having a girlfriend than a lot of us do. Besides, if you'll grant that they were probably together at one time, what's your hang-up about "not seeing it" in the pictures? Just because you don't doesn't mean we're projecting? It might mean your gaydar's worse. You sound pissed at that fact, frankly. And very overwrought about it all. But at least you don't sound homophobic, and that's a breath of fresh air on this thread. If your post included, "whereas my gay best friends hold each other in a much more intimate way," I'd actually think you knew something about the subject. As it is, I think you're just putting your heterocentric opinion into the thread (at least in a nice way), just as all straight people inevitably do. My gf and I slept in the same bed and cuddled, too. You see? There's a difference, and you're missing it, because you only see one side of things. You have to know both sides to get it.
