Geeze @ the book! And it's Australian, too? I tend to agree... that would be one funny coincidence. Never fear, I do realize that doesn't have anything to do with finding out about the nature of Nicole's and Naomi's relationship. But to wrap it up, here's what amazon.de is saying about the book: Synopsis Themes of friendship and belonging. Yeah, Nicole is always referred to as Nic, by those who know her and people in Australia. Bonus fun, she goes running a lot, and her dad used to make her and her sister do laps first thing in the morning when they were growing up.

I like how Kidman is seen as asexual or cold but the way she looks and touches people, men or women, say otherwise, I have seen her with Watts, Luhrmann, Crowe, McGregor, etc. especially in the "behind the scenes" clips, there is also a scene in the "Something Stupid" video where she looked at a woman instead of Robbie Williams and that was just WOW. There is nothing more exciting than having a steely exterior and being wild in doors.

r321, the only place where they attended an event and didn't seem to mingle was at Kidman's The Interpreter premiere and they didn't really avoid each other but I guess it makes for good reading to say they are no longer friends, Watts mingled and danced at the party while Kidman just sat and talked to people, understandable since she has been at several premieres all through that week. They've been at other places together, plays, concerts (Sting and U2), Costume Gala, after which they met up with Sean Penn for sushi, dinner with Liev last week so I don't think they are avoiding each other, Kidman has also been working all through the last 2 months so she won't be out there much.

Also this from gawker stalker somewhat recently: "Saw Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts (together) at a matinee of Spamalot on 5/22. Nicole has the most BEAUTIFUL and FLAWLESS skin that I have ever seen, and she is not as skinny as you would think she would be in real life. She was with Naomi Watts, who was sporting a really unflattering headscarf and she just looked kinda frumpy….but I guess any of us would look frumpy next to Nicole Kidman!"

She says she won't date another actor but I think she should go for a stage actor, director or writer maybe, she is pretty close to Phillip Roth but he is too old, lol, Patrick Marber is also a close friend but married, perhaps Craig Pearce who co-wrote MR!. I mean, this woman is worth $107m, what actor could stand that unless he is one of the top earners and they are all pretty unstable or bland. I quite liked her and Kravitz but hey ho. She is also a loner, I remember reading InTouch magazine and somebody, one of the "contributors" say she is pretty much a loner, goes and does things by herself, goes shopping by herself, goes to the movies by herself most of the time instead of going with friends or a large crowd and most often than not won't be seen galivanting across town like most starlets, lol. Whether she is straight, gay or bi, she is playing that card pretty close to her chest, I don't think many people ever thought of the day Kidman would have dated Kravitz, they seem poles apart.

r168, I disagree, her performance in Birth is brilliant, the opera scene alone is a masterpiece in acting and it is a movie that I enjoyed enormously. Even in Bewitched as dismal as the reviews have been, I don't think most reviewers are turning their noses at her performance even the bad reviews still cite her as being a good part of the movie. There is no reason for either of them to be jealous of each other, they both have brilliant directors wanting to work with them. If there is a rift then it is in the imagination of the tabloid media. Kidman and Watts don't really make salacious news, whenever they make the tabloids, the stories just fizzle out. I liked that she called Paris Hilton pretty, that was a nice thing to say. I think what she said about Jolie and Jlo was that she liked their bodies, don't get why she would want Jolie's, though, they are both skinny except for Jolie's boobs.
